FBI UAP Reports 2026The Western United States files.

Four FBI interview records describe three distinct 2026 Western United States UAP report strands. One of them comes with authentic thermal footage: two slow-moving black-hot areas of contrast recorded by a U.S. Government Special Agent after an RF alert. The files are real. The links between the observations are not automatically proven.

START BY SEPARATING THE FILES

Four FBI forms do not describe one single encounter.

The strongest way to read this release is record by record. The Western United States material includes FBI-UAP-D032 (“Slow-moving Objects”), D033 (“Thermally Elevated Aerial Object”), and D037 plus D040 (“Multiple Red Lights”). D037 and D040 are paired interviews from the same red-light event; D032 is the thermal-video case; D033 is another report strand. Combining all of them into one continuous incident would make the evidence sound stronger than the release establishes.

Slow-moving thermal objects

A U.S. Government Special Agent was alerted to an RF detection, was asked to look toward a bearing, and then observed two black-hot objects using a thermal optic. The released ten-second PR007 clip belongs to this record.

D033

Thermally elevated aerial object

A separate FBI interview record describing a 2026 Western United States incident. It should not be silently merged with D032 simply because the location and year are similarly redacted.

D037 + D040

Multiple red lights

Two separately interviewed witnesses describe the same event involving red lights. The pair gives witness corroboration for that event, but not for D032's thermal targets.

Release provenance

The material entered the public record in the fifth PURSUE tranche on 7 August 2026. FBI interview forms document testimony; they are not themselves findings that the reported objects were extraordinary.

THE BEST-DOCUMENTED STRAND

D032 gives us testimony and matching government-released thermal video.

The D032 interview describes an observer using a hand-held thermal optical device after being directed to look toward approximately 58 degrees. The observer first saw one black object, then a second to its right. He recorded photographs and video and said the two moved together at the same speed.

The observer reported seeing the objects for roughly five to ten minutes before losing sight of them. But the public video is only ten seconds long. That distinction matters: the released clip is authentic supporting media, not the entire observation.

The observer also said he could not estimate altitude or speed, and the exact location, device model and other context remain redacted.

A real federal-agent observation with real thermal footage is strong provenance. It still does not give us range, altitude, speed or identity.

THE RF QUESTION

The radio-frequency detection is intriguing — but it is a cue, not automatic sensor corroboration.

The D032 account says the observer was alerted to an RF detection at roughly 10,000 feet MSL lasting five to ten seconds, with an unknown bearing. Further communication then clarified a request to observe toward bearing 58 degrees. Within minutes, the observer used the thermal optic in that direction and saw the two dark targets.

That sequence is important. It explains why the observer looked there. But the released material does not provide a public sensor track proving that the RF source and the later thermal targets were one and the same.

Do not turn temporal sequence into multisensor confirmation. “RF alert, then thermal observation” is supported. “The same object was simultaneously confirmed by RF and infrared” is not established by the public record.

WHAT COULD IT HAVE BEEN?

Several ordinary explanations remain testable — but the redactions prevent a clean elimination.

Aircraft: distant aircraft can appear as compact thermal targets and move slowly across a hand-held field of view. Without location, range, traffic data and device parameters, this remains difficult to test fully.

Drones or balloons: slow apparent movement is compatible with either in some geometries, but the public record lacks the range, wind and altitude information needed to make the comparison decisive.

Parallax / platform motion: with a hand-held optic, apparent movement against a distant background can be difficult to translate into object motion without stable reference geometry.

Sensor / thermal effects: “black-hot” describes display polarity and contrast, not necessarily a literally black object or an exotic thermal signature.

None of those possibilities is an identification. The central fact is that the released record does not contain enough public geometry to turn the imagery into a reliable performance calculation.
