Three archival NASA frames from STS-80 show a small bright, roughly triangular or irregular object near the Earth limb. The images were released in PURSUE Release 04 in 2026. They establish a real photographed object but provide no reliable scale, range or extraordinary kinematics.
Why This Case Matters
Useful as an example of excellent image provenance with weak anomaly content: an authentic NASA image can still be most plausibly explained by local ice, shed material or orbital debris.
